So I have lived in this hosue for aproximately 6 1/2 years. In all that time it only occured to me one time to name the dang place. Now I have called it all sorts of things (insert favorite derogatory phrase here) but I never lovingly took time to actually name it. When you love something and are proud of it you name it right?! So, it’s never too late to start.

I officially own this home and it’s free and clear from my mean ol ex. She is actually mine and a huge sense of pride I didnt have before has surfaced. The same one that motivated me to name this place. I like naming things too. Like the car. AKA-Maggie. More on that later. I took some time, an embarrassingly long time to come up with the name but she is  called

The Saddleback House

I know right, where did I come up with such genius? Haha! Before you congratulate me on my cleverness I took the name from the street we live on. I know a little let down. I will tell you it almost became The Dogwood House which I really loved but something just didn’t fit. My house doesnt come to mind when hearing this.

So the entire point in naming the house is to tell you that even if you have a small house [cottage] or a large farm or even a cookie cutter house in a neighborhood it deserves a name. If you have debated on naming your house I am giving you permission to do so now. If you could see my face right now not only would you see paint youd see I am kidding, about needing permission at least. The rest is serious face.
